Is Nexus 6P still supported?

The 2015 Android release is no longer supported by any further Android releases as of January 2019. While you may think this is the end of the Nexus brand, which pre-dated the Google Pixel release, the Nexus phones are still great handsets for elderly people who may need the phone to simply stay in touch, especially in a 2021 COVID landscape. It was one of the first Android devices to make 15W fast charging available and the aluminum body is resilient compared to cheaper plastic housings. 

Is Nexus 6P a good phone?

The Nexus 6P isn't going to hold a candle or stack up to the current mid-range Android offerings in 2021. However if you need a backup phone, something more lots of capacity (the Nexus has a 128GB option), or something cost-effective for a non-technical member of the family, a refurbished Huawei Nexus 6P has been priced very affordably.
