Please note, our devices do not come with wall blocks or chargers, but will be fully charged upon arrival. We do this to keep the price competitive, as almost all customers purchasing pre-owned iPad Mini devices already have existing accessories.

Is the iPad Mini 2 still worth buying?

The iPad Mini 2 is definitely still worth buying as it’s still a sufficiently powerful enough iPad to run apps like YouTube, NetFlix and many other entertainment apps that the common user may use. Unlike the Mini 1which maxed out at iOS 9.3.6 and doesn’t even support the use of the native YouTube app, the Mini 2 can go up to iOS 12.5.1 which isn’t the latest, but a big improvement compared to the previous generation, especially for a minimal bump in price.

Is it worth buying a refurbished iPad Mini?

Lots of third party sites may advertise low prices on iPad Mini devices, but it’s important that we clarify what exactly constitutes refurbished, reconditioned and in our case - certified pre-owned. All our devices have been fully tested, with the only acceptable replacement we do being the battery, should the tests show it is deteriorated. In terms of the physical condition, our refurbished iPad Mini’s show minimal signs of wear, and those that are showing too much wear are not sold to consumers, or often we discount them heavily. Our goal is to make the preowned device buying experience as transparent as possible, so you know exactly what you’re getting and there are no surprises, especially with older devices. 

Is the iPad Mini 2 outdated?

Whether you consider the Mini 2 outdated, totally depends on what you’re using the device for. Most customers that are researching the capabilities of an iPad like this, are looking for some basic working functions. This is often for extremely slimmed down use cases like elderly people or children, and the Mini 2 specifically does a great job at allowing users to browse the internet, stream music and videos and use the iMessage platform to send texts over WiFi. It makes improvements in both chipset, as well as battery duration over the Mini 1, which allows many of these legacy apps still able to hold their own. As of 2020 and 2021, if you’ve got a toddler who will end up breaking this, the cost to purchase as well as replace is definitely worth it. 

Are the refurbished iPads worth buying?
