Apple iPad Mini 5 (2019)

The iPad Mini 5 was released in 2019, and is the last remaining mini tablet device from Apple that is still compatible with the newer iPad0S 16.0 release.

It was released with only two storage options - 64GB and 256GB - while offering an A12 Bionic chip and 3GB of RAM, which is a hefty upgrade on the mini 4 which only offered an A8 chip.

If you're holding onto an older iPad mini model, you can also expect the following upgrades if you do choose to upgrade;

• Bluetooth 5.0 compatibility - previous models only supported 4.0, which had limited range and capability.
• 3GB RAM instead of 2GB RAM, for all storage options. 
• 7MP front facing camera, a huge upgrade on the 1.2MP offered on the mini 4.
• 1st Gen Apple Pencil support
